Emergency Response CAFS

CAFS Units are the reliable answer for fast knock-down emergency response fire fighting. They are ideal for the tray of vehicles, on a trailer or in situ for asset protection and Emergency Response Operations.

CAFS are perfect for helipads and aerodrome use, we have supplied to these within Western Australia. They are self-contained and hold their own water, foam and air supply ready to operate within seconds of opening the valves. They are simple to operate and simple to refill.

These units are RELIABLE. There is no motor to start, they operate using compressed air from BA cylinders (or SCUBA if preferred for ease of refilling). They can also be supplied to operate utilising Nitrogen.

Maintenance is MINIMAL.

The foam produced is quality. You can use whichever foam you wish. AFFF is recommended. If the foam has a different viscosity to water calculations need to be made to adjust the % uptake on the pump.

CAFS foam is fast knockdown and prevents water damage to assets.

1L of water expands into 20L of foam. 1L of foam is 20x more effective at fighting fire than water. CAFS is the way forward for effective emergency response fire fighting. AFFF (aqueous film forming foam) lays a covering blanket on a fire smothering it and preventing re-ignition. Foam cools and restricts oxygen supply to the fire.

Set up a CAFS unit where protection is required, or make it mobile. Use it with a lay flat hose, hard wall hose and reel, sprinklers or a monitor to fight fires and protect assets.

Units can be built with detection, or solenoids for remote activation if required. Various sized units are available and we can interlink water vessels if larger capacities are required, or have different vessels engineered and design verified for your purpose.
